I am making a documentary on real psychics. I would really love it if anyone would share their stories with me, or if anyone know of any great links, or any truley amazing people out there that I could interview....I would really appreciate it!! Also, this is going to sound very childish, but I am obsessed with that tv show "The Dead Zone". LOL, yes... i know... but the whole psychic by touch is very interesting. Has anyone heard of this happening in real life?? I would be more interested in that then anything. And to end it... I beleave that either I am a little psychic or just crazy., lol...tell me what u think... It seems that I have alot of Deja Vu...I always have dreams that come true. And also, if I want something really bad, I will normally get it. And a few years ago when I was 16 [I am 18 by the way] I wanted a Corvette more than anything in the world, even though I knew I would never get one. But everytime I left the house I would see at least 3 or more just in that time. If I am listening to the radio, i will think of a song and it will come on next. And sometimes its like I can hear people think things before they actually say it. Am I just over reacting?? I would really appreciate your opinions, I can also give you more examples if you would like.... Thanks!!! ~Justice

Posts: 20 (07/22/03 04:56 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I should probably also say that this "psychic" thing seems to run in my family....my real father is very in tune with the paranormal world.....one of my little brothers talks to people who aren't there and then will explain the whole conversation to me, explaining their name and how the died [although sometime I think he is just being a kid, but other times it is VERY convincing...] and another little brother can "talk" to my dad without saying anything.....but I am still kinda sceptic about it.... has anyone heard about abilites running in the family, or is my family just crazy, lol

Freaky....I just walked away from the tv and it was playing a rerun of last Sunday's The Dead Zone, though I'll file that as coincidence. A documentary on real psychics. How would you go about proving a person is a real psychic? A lot of people have premonitions or dreams that come true, this does not make them psychic. There is a lot of coincidence that plays into our lives as well as subtle mental clues that sometimes we are not aware of. It seems most people will have one or maybe two events that happen to them that could be psychic, but in my opinion if it isn't repeatable it isn't proven. Basically what I am saying is, a lot of people claim to have these things happen to them without really thinking logically, instead they add things to it mentally and it perpetuates into something that is not what it seems. I would have to say a great majority of claims are explainable if a person is able to see past their conclusions, then again, there are plenty that are not! The precognitive thing seems to be the biggest category of report from people who feel they have had a psychic episode, but it is only one of many aspects of psychic events. It does seem that a trend exists in psychic events occurring in families, there must be something there that we can prove through DNA. I have heard countless reports of families that seem to carry this from generation to generation, hopefully someone will be able to study this in depth someday, maybe your documentary could focus on this? I agree with you that it is very hard to determine whether a person is truley "psychic". I guess that will be my great challenge . Definatley I will put the family thing into it, I would really like to talk to other people who have maybe experienced the same thing. As for the Dead Zone, great great show, lol. Ok, anyway...thanx alot!! And to anyone else reading this, I would love your input!!

If you look at it, everyone I have ever talked to claims a case of deja vu, or wanting something bizzare to happen than it occurs. Personally I think that those that claim to be psychics just believe it more (or are able to get gulible people to pay). A person can be naturally fast, but it doesn't help much unless they practice their gift. The same is with mental abilities. You have to believe and then work on it. grins ~Kita

My grandaddy was said to had telekensis. No one else that I know about had this ability but we do have preminations and are able to sense spirits and see them from time to time among other things. I am not a psycic but I think that a lot of people are. In my opinion you either do or you don't. I also think that practice will enhance the ability. Good luck with your documentry.

As a kid I was very ADD and often thought obscure thoughts. Very often some weird thought would pop into my head and then something directly related would happen. That really doesn't happen much anymore. BTW-I've been away too long. Things have been so busy around here that I haven't had much spare time.

I also feel we all have "something", but it's not a matter of exploiting it or developing it, I think each of us has an individual capacity for psychic ability though to different degrees. The best way I could compare this would be with comparing it to physical ability. Some people can do amazing things, while others are just "normal". Some "normal" physically-abled people can push their bodies to become in top condition, while for most people it's just not in their body makeup or ability. Brian D. Parsons

Posts: 66 (11/20/06 09:21 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	My personal belief is many of the so-called "real psychics" give those who have the gifts a bad name when they charge fees for an ability that was bestowed upon them to begin with. I agree with many who said that everyone has some ability, but there are many who have learned how to open their minds a bit more to see the full picture if you will enhancing their ability. My mother noticed that I had abilities from the age of 3, however, for my safety, she sheltered me so that i could have a normal life. Unfortunately, the older I became the stronger my abilities became and when I started to question her and began telling her of family members that had come to me in different forms, family members that were never mentioned or described to me at all is when my mother finally told me and explained that some family members, including me had abilities. So in a way looking at psychic abilities genetically, it is very possible that is passed down, but is im sure still being studied just like the connections between twins which if you look at those studies can also prove psychic abilities being genetic. Twins can talk to one another not only in their own language in an early age but can feel or sense when their other half is hurt or sad etc. I have witnessed this first hand in my own 18 month old twins.
